A Half-Shinning Love Poem
She views herself with a mirror that’s fractured by her scars.
She’s scared and she asks herself why.
Her hand is bruised. She stares; watching thoughts flow as time deepens wounds.
She lives under a dark ocean and I float on the surface,
I love you. And the words echo through the chambers of the ocean and down into her.
I love you. And the words fall through cracks of the mirror broken down.
I love you, and I’ll float on the surface until you feel this fresh air.
